Arthur Child Cancer Centre Calgary
Millennium EMS Solutions Ltd. was retained to assess the air quality impact of post-combustion emissions from the expansion of the power plant to provide additional steam capacity for the Foothills Medical Centre and the new Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Calgary. The Foothills Medical Centre is the largest hospital in Alberta and located in northwest Calgary.
Our modelling study included emissions from the nearby University of Calgary Central and Heating Plant, the Alberta’s Children Hospital, and the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology Cogeneration Plant. Millennium also provided expert witness testimony in a public oral hearing held by the Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) in support of the air quality assessment.
